Juni 2023 veranstaltete PARI einen dynamischen Workshop zum Thema \"Democracy and the Global Order: Neue Perspektiven, neue Herausforderungen\" im Hochschulzentrum Fulda. Die Veranstaltung bot den Teilnehmern eine ansprechende Plattform, um in ein reichhaltiges Programm aus Vortr\u00e4gen, Diskussionen und reichlich Gelegenheiten zum sinnvollen Austausch einzutauchen.<\/p><p>Der Workshop begann mit einer herzlichen Begr\u00fc\u00dfung durch Prof. Claudia Wiesner von der Fachhochschule Fulda. Am ersten Tag folgten aufschlussreiche Vortr\u00e4ge von Susanne Maslanka und Hans-Georg Ripken, die sich mit dem spannenden Thema \"Westliche Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Boris Jelzin - Akzeptanz illiberaler Praktiken zum Aufbau einer liberalen Demokratie\" besch\u00e4ftigten. Auch Veith Selk fesselte die Zuh\u00f6rer mit seinen Erkenntnissen \u00fcber \"Das Ende der Demokratie und die politische Avantgarde\".<\/p><p>Die Nachmittagssitzung begann mit Vanessa Wintermantels zum Nachdenken anregendem Vortrag \"\u00dcber die Grenzen liberaler Theorien: Eine Mobilisierung poststrukturalistischer, feministischer und postkolonialer Kritiken\". Nathaniel Umokoro gab Einblicke in die \"Politische \u00d6konomie der Demokratie im globalen S\u00fcden\", w\u00e4hrend Matthias Klemm das Konzept des \"intellektuellen Autoritarismus\" untersuchte.<\/p><p>Tom Scheunemann entf\u00fchrte die Zuh\u00f6rer mit seinem Vortrag \u00fcber \"Future Histories in the Anthropocene\" in die Zukunft, gefolgt von Olga Nosovas Untersuchung des \"Sozialen und humanit\u00e4ren Sicherheitssystems in der Ukraine: die Rolle der Integrationswerte der Europ\u00e4ischen Union\". Christoph Held rundete den Tag mit einer kritischen Analyse unter dem Titel \"Empty Democracy: Eine Kritik der radikalen Demokratietheorie\".<\/p><p>Den Abschluss des Workshops bildete eine anregende Diskussionsrunde zum Thema \"Entangled Perspectives of (post)modernity - What's at stake?\", an der namhafte Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie David Chandler (University of Westminster), Niilo Kauppi (University of Helsinki) und Claudia Wiesner (Fachhochschule Fulda) teilnahmen.<\/p><p>Im Wesentlichen erwies sich der Workshop \"Demokratie und globale Ordnung\" als Schmelztiegel verschiedener Ideen, der die intellektuelle Erforschung f\u00f6rderte und neue Horizonte f\u00fcr das Verst\u00e4ndnis des komplexen Zusammenspiels zwischen Demokratie und globaler Landschaft er\u00f6ffnete.
