Denn sie haben sich ver\u00e4ndert: Nach Jahren des Verdr\u00e4ngens der Erinnerung an die deutsche Mauer, gefolgt von einer Periode der Fokussierung auf die Opfer der Mauer und schlie\u00dflich der stolzen Feier der mutigen und friedlichen ostdeutschen Menschen, die die Mauer aufstie\u00dfen, \u00e4nderte sich das offizielle Narrativ sowie seine zeitgen\u00f6ssische Relevanz erneut im Zuge der Fl\u00fcchtlingskrise 2015 in Deutschland und dem daraus resultierenden Anstieg des rechten, teilweise gewaltt\u00e4tigen Extremismus in Deutschland.<\/p><h6>Panel I und II: Die Ver\u00e4nderungen der europ\u00e4ischen und transatlantischen Sicherheitsordnung in den 1990er Jahren<\/h6><p>Im ersten Panel sprach Prof. Dr. Phillipp Gassert (Mannheim) \u00fcber seine Vor\u00fcberlegungen zu einem Forschungsprojekt \u00fcber den Wandel der Sicherheitsordnung in den 1990er Jahren. Hans-Georg Ripken (Mannheim) folgte mit einem Vortrag \u00fcber Data Science als Forschungsansatz zur Erforschung des Wandels der internationalen Beziehungen. Abgerundet wurde das Panel durch einen Beitrag von Tim Dielmann, Joshua Haberkern und Martin Utsch (alle Mannheim), die \u00fcber den europ\u00e4ischen Integrationsprozess, die Ethnisierung von \"Andersartigkeit\" und Gewalt sowie \u00fcber franz\u00f6sische Sicherheitskonzepte in den 1990er Jahren sprachen.<\/p><h6>Militarismus und Antimilitarismus in Westdeutschland, 1970-1990<\/h6><p>Professor Alexander Vazansky von der University of Nebraska gab einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber den historischen Kontext, einschlie\u00dflich der Zeit nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, des Kalten Krieges und der Teilung Deutschlands, und definierte Militarismus und Antimilitarismus. Er ging auf den Wiederaufbau der Bundeswehr, die Integration Westdeutschlands in die NATO und die Unterst\u00fctzung des Milit\u00e4rs durch die \u00d6ffentlichkeit aufgrund von Bedenken hinsichtlich der nationalen Sicherheit ein. Die Diskussion befasste sich mit den Urspr\u00fcngen und Schl\u00fcsselereignissen der antimilitaristischen Bewegung, wie z. B. den Protesten gegen den Vietnamkrieg, dem Widerstand gegen Atomwaffen und der Friedensbewegung, wobei wichtige Organisationen, Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten und ihr Einfluss auf die \u00f6ffentliche Meinung und die Politik hervorgehoben wurden. Die Vorlesung schloss mit einer Untersuchung der Reaktion der Regierung auf den Antimilitarismus, den daraus resultierenden Ver\u00e4nderungen in der Verteidigungspolitik und den langfristigen Auswirkungen auf die deutsche Gesellschaft und Politik, insbesondere im Kontext des wiedervereinigten Deutschlands.<\/p><h6>Energielandschaften und \u00d6ko-Gouvernementalit\u00e4t<\/h6><p>Dr. Phillip Kr\u00f6ger (Siegen) untersuchte, wie Ost- und Westdeutschland ihre nat\u00fcrlichen Ressourcen und ihren Energiebedarf durch den Braunkohleabbau verwalteten. Er untersucht die gegens\u00e4tzlichen Umweltpolitiken und gesellschaftlichen Einstellungen zur Natur und beleuchtet die langfristigen Auswirkungen auf Landschaften und Gemeinden. Die Analyse zeigt, wie unterschiedliche politische Ideologien die \u00f6kologische Steuerung und das Erbe des Tagebaus f\u00fcr die Umwelt in Deutschland pr\u00e4gten.<\/p><h6>Panel III: Geschichte der Gegenwart<\/h6><p>Prof. Dr. Reinhild Kreis von der Universit\u00e4t Siegen gab einen Impuls zu der Frage: Was ist die Geschichte, wenn die Gegenwart.
